AUGUST 7th

It’s Friday and Sunday’s Comin’!

Happy Friday! May the peace of Christ be with you! I was reading and thinking about Psalm 23 this morning — a psalm full of great lines but one I love is this: the Lord leads me beside the still waters; he restores my soul. God’s mercy restores us. God’s love restores us. God’s grace makes it possible for us to live and to thrive. It’s amazing to me that those words have been giving comfort for thousands of years, generation to generation.

On Sunday the sermon will be LIVING WITH FEAR. We live in a fearful time. But fear is also nothing new. The word fear is mentioned over 500 times in the Bible. One of the great themes of the Bible is “do not be afraid.” So how do we live with fear? How do we find the comfort that Psalm 23 names so clearly? I hope you’ll listen in!

YOU WILL HAVE TO ATTEND WORSHIP ONLINE. Michael was not feeling well so we thought it was important to be tested for COVID. Those results will not be in until Monday or Tuesday so with a pending COVID test we felt it best to not gather people in the sanctuary.
We will NOT have In-Person Church. However, you can follow the same instructions you received for Live Streaming and see the service online. I will send out those instructions again tomorrow.

I pray for you and hope that you are doing well. I miss seeing you all in person! School has begun and we are all praying for the health and well-being of our children, youth, teachers and everyone who is at school! Thank you for your faithfulness and love for Christ and love for one another as we continue to be ambassadors for the Gospel!

In Christ,

Pastor Mary
