It’s Friday and Sunday’s Comin’!
It’s Good Friday.
THE Friday which defines the temptation to hopelessness and despair but which is called “Good” because of Christ’s victory over that despair. It is the Friday that reminds us to wait, be ready, keep watch for the Good News to become clear:
“I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope; my soul waits for the Lord more than those who watch for the morning, more than those who watch for the morning. —Psalm 130:5-6
We wait because Sunday is always coming.The day of resurrection! God’s love prevails and our hope is renewed. Come and celebrate the resurrection!
