It’s Friday and Sunday’s Comin’!
Tom Fagan, the Development Director of the Indiana United Methodist Children’s Home Foundation, was in our building this week for the Stewardship Conference. He took this photo.
The sanctuary is a place of prayer and worship, and you might be surprised to discover how many people come to our sanctuary alone for a quiet time of prayer and reflection. Tom took some time in our sanctuary this week and his photo is a wonderful invitation into that holy space.
It’s amazing to me how the sanctuary is lively, full of people and conversation, song and prayer and preaching on Sundays.Then when everyone leaves, the room still holds the presence of God and the faithfulness of all those who gather. I’m so thankful for this sacred space.
I hope you’ll use this photo today and tomorrow as you pray for our Visioning Team that will be meeting tonight and tomorrow with David Hayes. We have some wonderful leaders giving their time to help discern and define the mission and vision for our church for the coming years. Please pray for them as they work on behalf of the church.
