On Sunday in worship we’ll be celebrating and thanking David Phelps as he steps down from his role as our Youth Pastor. We know from Ecclesiastes: “for everything there is a season.” We’re sorry to see this season in youth ministry come to a close, but we’re deeply grateful for the many lives David has touched in youth ministry over the last 9 years. We know he will continue to encourage and mentor youth as an amazing human being and in his position in the school system.
So…. come to lunch! We’ll honor David in worship and have time to thank him in person in our first 5th Sunday Fellowship dinner in 2 1/2 years!
COVID PROTOCOL:
We know that Covid is still spreading itself around! For the dinner, tables of 6 will be set up indoors and there will also be outdoor seating in the shelter. As always be mindful of the distance between people as you are chatting, and I strongly encourage masks for the food line.
(Remember those photos that we taped to the pews to simulate a congregation during COVID? Believe me, it wasn’t the same as worshipping with real people! But now you never know when those photos may be put to a new use!)
