FROM THE VOICE ON THE VILLAGE GREEN, 1974:
If everyone had cooperated like the weather, it would have been a complete failure. But the Bazaar is not weather, or planning, or selling, it is PEOPLE working together for a common cause, and in this our Bazaar this year was a fantastic success.
Yes, the Church Bazaar was not given the name FallFare until 1976 — 4 years after it began. Apparently, it had become such a success that it warranted a new and special name! But the message has been consistent — FallFare is a group effort and everyone’s contribution makes a difference.
It’s hard to believe that the funds raised at that first church bazaar — $894 — have grown so much that we’ve dropped below $11,000 only once in the last 20 years. and only 6 times since 1995! Be sure to come on Sunday to find out the grand total for all 50 years!
We seek to be a church that leaves the building, and Fall Fare has helped make that happen. Although some FallFare funds have improved our facility and supported our ministries, most of the funds have gone out into the community and the world.
