You’ll be glad to know the swing was not released and no one fell off the back of the porch!
Yesterday was my last gathering with the UMW and we enjoyed a lovely lunch on Joan Goodman’s porch. I even received a sash that said “retired and fabulous.” A highlight of the day was them telling me that they are proud of me and then singing a special UMW rendition of “Proud Mary” (the Tina Turner version!) Thank you so much!
Next week we will be heading off to Annual Conference — June 8-10 at Ball State University in Muncie. Michael and I will attend as clergy delegates. Dick Young will present our congregation as the lay delegate and Kathy Roberts will represent the Southeast District as the lay equalization delegate. So pray for us and pray for the work of the Annual Conference as we celebrate the past year and plan for the coming year.
