We are all invited to Camp Moneto!!! Weenie Roast – camp tour – pitch-in meal – music – and more!!! Just a few of the things going to be happening this coming Sunday all starting at 4pm. This is just one of the activities that we as a church are going to be doing in the future. You see … a couple of months ago I asked the church council to come up with a list of activities for us to try to do as a church. Some of the ideas were Sunday Morning related: hymn sing, prayer service, special services (ex: world communion, pet blessings, kid/youth lead service, etc.); some are outreach related: church has left the building, mission trip, Christmas caroling; some have to do with Christian Education: short term studies, book club, field trips; and some are just for fun: movie night , game night, progressive dinner, supper club, skiing, parade floats, and even sky diving. (More ideas keep coming in and are welcome from anyone)

So one of the first ideas was to have a cookout at Camp Moneto – we were going to try to do this around the 4th of July but with the drought and high temps we postponed it to October. So here is the total run down: We are invited to arrive around 4pm – the camp crew will be giving tours of the grounds – we will have a camp fire going and the church is providing hotdogs/buns/condiments, drinks, plates/cutlery/and such … all who wish to come bring a side/desert to share. We will be meeting at the pool shelter house and will have a little live music … a very short devotional … and food!!! Make sure you bring a lawn chair and dress for the weather. Can’t wait to see everyone there and have some fun.
