Roy’s Ramblings…

This week has been Chamberfest – for those of you that may not know what that is – it is 7 Days, 7 concerts, 7 chances at hearing and seeing “Chamber Music”. Chamber Music is defined as music performed by a small ensemble, with one player to a part to an intimate audience. And this week has been an amazing week.

We started here on Sunday at NUMC with a choral quartet singing Brahms; on Monday we traveled to St Agnus to hear a baroque soprano accompanied by a lute player; on Tuesday we were again at St Agnus to here Phantasy perform including some Beethoven; Wednesday we were at the Playhouse for some folk music and dance; Last night we were back at NUMC to hear some AMAZING wind players; tonight Multi-Grammy winning Pacifica is here at NUMC; and we finish on Saturday at a new location New Life Community Church to hear a combination of stings with clarinet. Whew – what a week. (And if you aren’t into Chamberfest this evening … you can always come out to Camp Moneto for the District Picnic – Just had to throw that in!!)

So why do I tell you all about Chamberfest? Is it because they have three nights in our building giving us exposure and several hundred visitors into our building? Is it because my wife (and other church members) are on the Chamberfest board? Is it because this is an amazing opportunity for some awesome entertainment here in Nashville? Is it because I want to warn you that the Sanctuary is going to look a little different this coming Sunday? Well … Yes to All!!!

So I told you all of that … to tell you this … I encourage you to support your local events, school, businesses, churches, groups, clubs, and all happenings here in Brown County. I know that we all are super ready to do this anyway (mainly because I’m continuously seeing so many of you already supporting things) but this is just a reminder that we should always encourage and allow for some out of the box thinking sometimes. Thank you to everyone who helps to make all of these things a reality.

Prayers and Blessings for Us All – Pastor Roy
