Roy’s Ramblings…
Greetings All – so this is Labor Day weekend and so instead of rambling … I’m gunna just hit some highlights and hot topics:
- This is a 5th Sunday and the music department is in charge of the 5th Sunday meal – everyone is welcome and if you so desire to bring a side or dessert to go along with fried chicken – that would be wonderful – free will donations at meal time will go to the music department.
- Speaking of Music department … Wednesday Choir Rehearsals have started and there is plenty of room for anyone that would like to come and sing. (Talent is not required … but enthusiasm is) check out the times in the bulletin on Sunday.
- Bells – AKA Crystal Ringers – is also getting ready to start – Wednesday Sept10 at 5pm is the first rehearsal of the season – come and be a ding-a-ling (in a great way).
- FallFare is a comin’!!! Do you have your crafts ready? Your pie pans prepped? Puzzles, Pots, Fancy Accessories, Canned Goods, etc.? October 4th will be here before we know it.
- Charge Conference date has been set – Oct 12 at 5:30pm at St. Marks in Bloomington. So nominations will be meeting (any committees you wish to serve on?) – Trustee paperwork – Finance Stuff – all the business side of church is on full alert.
- Then we have Halloween – Thanksgiving – Advent and Christmas -Ahhhhhhhhggggggg!!! Hang on tight folks … keep arms and hands inside the ride at all times – and here we go!!!!
