Roy’s Ramblings…

This is not a drill – this is FULL ALERT STATUS!!!! FallFare is one week away!!! Are you ready? Do you have all of your crafts, pumpkins, and wood items finished? Pies ready to bake? Bread? Canned Goods? Breakfast Casserole? Have you sorted, purged, and donated your books, boutique items, treasures, puzzles and pots? If not –  there is still a little bit of time … but not much.

So if you have treasures to bring in – we are simply putting them in the shelter house behind the church, other items for other booths can be brought in and put on the carts at the back door or taken to their designated rooms. Jim, our un-chair, has a crew coming to set up tents on Thursday, the “Pickle Crew” is going to be hard at work after church this Sunday in the church kitchen, the scouts will be moving tables and chairs and getting ready to feed the masses, the youth have been making God’s Eyes and other things to sell to go toward their Heifer Project as well as have activities on Saturday, the finance crew is ready to accept donations as well as make change, the music department is warming up their instruments and voices, and all of those “behind the scene” folks are … well … behind the scenes making things happen.

So this is an “All Hands on Deck” notice that there is a job for you and that you are needed. If you are unable to attend Fall Fare physically we totally understand … stuff comes up, health issues are always a problem, and for some … this just isn’t your thing; but we covet and need your prayers. Fall Fare could not happen (let alone happen for 53 years) without being bathed in prayer and other kinds of support. So this year we have the opportunity (depending on total money raised) of going over half a million dollars given to ministry around the world including many projects right here in Brown County. So let us come with joy, smiles, grace and patience and do this Kingdom work in praise, honor and glory of God!!!
