Roy’s Ramblings…
FallFare is upon us – unfinished projects, ingredients that never got put together to be a product, empty pots, big wood that never got made into small wood or sawdust, collections of items still at home that never made it to donation … whatever the case … it is now a project/donation/gift for another time. And, that is ok.
Over the years I have figured out that any one person can only do as much as they can and that they (we/I) should be ok with that. Also, the total amount that they (we/I) can do probably has dropped over the years. And, again, that is ok. In looking at what the Ice family has done/donated to FallFare 2025, I realized that we have donated something to every single booth. (I guess we spread it around this year) We did not make as many total items as last year … but we did make more than our first year; I guess I should be satisfied with what we were able to do/give.
Don’t get me wrong here … IT IS NOT A COMPETITION!! There is no prize for the booth that makes the most – has the most – is the biggest – has the most people stop by … etc. etc. The true winners are the recipients of the total monies that are brought in and then given away. The ministry organizations are the winners … the people they help are the winners … the least of these (whoever that may be) are the winners!!
So, Happy and Blessed FallFare 53 – we have prepared as well as we could. We have worked and gathered – sorted and priced – moved interesting stuff form place to place and so this evening we rest and prepare for the customers tomorrow. Everyone putting on their best smiles – their happy personalities – their Holy Spirit attitudes and serving everyone with Joy!! Yes it has been hard work … but it is so well worth it overall. And, as always … if for any reason you are not physically able to attend FallFare … pray for the workers, the customers, and the recipients. We truly need you to do that.
Blessings and Joy – Pastor Roy
