Roy’s Ramblings

Well, looks like winter isn’t quite over yet as another snow storm is approaching. So instead of a random bunch of thoughts this week – I thought I’d cover our winter guidelines of open/close.

First, the church council has guidelines that – throughout the week – if Brown County School System is closed … so are we.

Second, on Sunday morning (8am) I check out the INDOT Travel Advisory Map – (www.in.gov › dhs › travel-advisory-map) and if we (Brown County) are in an ORANGE or higher travel status … we call off church. If we are in a YELLOW I can usually get to church in our Jeep and I encourage everyone to use their own discretion on how well you can navigate the road condition where you live. The very last thing I want is for someone to get hurt trying to come to church.

Our three basic rules are: Do No Harm, Do Good, and Stay in Love With God. And as always we can Worship God anywhere. So if the roads are dangerous I encourage you to find a favorite Bible passage – read it a couple of times – pray for any and all that come to mind – and even sing or hum a favorite hymn or two.

Stay Warm – Stay Well – and let’s see what comes our way … I hope we have enough Bread, Eggs, and Milk – this looks to be a French Toast Weekend.

Love and Blessings – Pastor Roy
