Andrew Eden
Andrew Eden is the director of the Crystal Ringers handbell choir. He has worked as a church musician since childhood. As someone who formerly scoffed at the very idea of even being a multi-instrumentalist, he has since accepted and embraced the fact that he is one. A graduate of the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, where he received a Bachelor of Music degree in Historical Performance, Andrew has a particular passion for Medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque music. This repertoire has a very direct, living connection with Christianity, and Andrew enjoys sharing that connection with the congregation and using it to invoke the Holy Spirit. In addition to directing the handbell choir at NUMC, he also serves as assistant organist, assistant pianist, cantor, vocal and instrumental soloist, and sings in the choir. He is the proud cat-dad of an adorable rescued gray tabby named Smoky.
Handbell Director
Roy E. Ice
Rev. Roy E. Ice started his pastorate at Nashville United Methodist Church on July 1, 2023. His main goal in life is to encourage others to live into “Applied Theology” - that is - to learn the ways of God and then to share the Gospel and Example of Jesus the Christ by word and actions. Ordained in 2003, Pastor Roy has served the United Methodist Church in a variety of ways and locations, but always with the same spirit and mission. He fully believes that all aspects of the church should be fun, exciting, open and available to everyone. Pastor Roy invites you to come to NUMC to receive the blessings of God’s Spirit so that you can go into the world to bless others.
