Roy’s Ramblings
So this week has been Spring Break for the Brown County Schools, so Samuel has been hunkered down in his room playing online with the “nerd herd” – only coming out for food and an occasional shower. His idea of a perfect school vacation. It has also been a week of strange weather, illness in our household, getting taxes done, a funeral for a county resident, a concert, getting some projects started and some others finished, working at some of our local ministries, and basically just meeting myself coming and going. What a week!!
But, in other news, I have heard form two friends that I have known since elementary school, my parents are getting established in their new setting, warmer weather is predicted, and gardening is right around the corner (my seed catalogue just came in the mail). No matter what happens today … no matter the news, the happenings, the good times or the sorrows … tomorrow is just around the bend.
So, I pray you are well. I pray that you are finding peace, and comfort, and rest. I pray that in all of the “stuff” gong on in the world that you are taking time for yourself, your family, your friends, your well being. But most importantly … I pray for us as a community, a church and as a Family of God. Everything in our lives will never be perfect, God never promised that problem and pitfalls would never happen. God just promised to be with us always. So never give up hope and never give up on God.
Blessings to and for us all – Pastor Roy
